I am a university student currently studying a double degree in Actuarial Science and Commerce, aiming to break into the quantitive finance industry. I have a strong academic background in mathematics, business, and physics, and I enjoy helping students develop confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult.
I achieved an ATAR of 93.65 and received an ATAR Excellence Award. My relevant VCE results include:
General Mathematics: raw study score of 44, approximately the top 3%
Mathematical Methods: raw study score of 40, Â top 9%
Business Management: raw study score of 40, Â top 9%
Physics: raw study score of 38, approximately the top 15%
My teaching style is structured, methodical, and patient. I prefer to explain concepts step by step, ensuring that students understand the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorising procedures. I adapt my explanations to suit each student and regularly use worked examples, diagrams, and targeted practice questions to reinforce understanding.
Outside academics, I have received multiple chess awards and have competed in athletics and cross-country events at regional and state levels. I am also a committed runner, which has strengthened my discipline, consistency, and ability to work toward long-term goals. I aim to bring these qualities into every tutoring session by creating a calm, supportive, and focused learning environment.
